How a night runs
Build the night
Rounds, questions, point values. Free text, multiple choice, closest-number, or mark-it-yourself. Flag a question as a wager and teams stake their own points on it.
Print one QR code
Teams scan it and they are in — no app store, no signup, no email address. They pick a team name and a mark, you approve them, and the lobby screen fills up.
Run it from the console
Open a round, push a 60-second countdown to every phone at once, close it hard. Nothing anyone typed is lost at the close — unsent drafts are submitted for them.
Mark in one pass
Every team’s answer to a question on one screen, identical answers grouped so one keystroke marks the lot. Multiple choice and exact numbers mark themselves.
Reveal it properly
Publish the round and the big screen counts up from last place, pauses before the top three, and shows who moved. Podium at the end of the night.

What you get
Phones are the answer sheets
Every team answers on their own phone. One that sleeps, drops the venue wifi, or dies mid-round does not lose a typed answer — and if it dies for good, the player rescans the QR and you wave them back onto their team.
Big screens that earn the projector
A lobby with the QR and a team ticker, the question up on screen when you want it there, a bottom-up leaderboard reveal, and a podium. Same app, different screen.
Seasons that keep themselves
Set a placement scale once and the ladder builds itself across the season. Returning teams are matched automatically once a player has claimed their results, and you can link the rest by hand in a couple of clicks.
The awkward bits, handled
Adjust any team’s score with a reason and it lands in an audit log. Restrict a tie-break question to the tied teams. Exclude a team from one question — or the night — and put them back. A correction after publishing is a re-publish, not a rewrite.
It looks like your venue
The player and big-screen surfaces are themed per venue: colours, type, team icons. The words and the flow stay the same for everyone, so nobody has to relearn the game.

Invite a co-host and you can both be signed in at once — one on stage, one on the marking desk.
The room
Built for a room, not a browser
Trivia is an in-person event. TriviaBard is built for the pub, the bar, the club, the climbing gym — anywhere a host stands at a microphone and forty people argue about the answer. Nothing about it assumes a quiet room or good wifi.
- Nothing to install. Players scan a QR code and start playing. It is a web page.
- Bad wifi is expected. Answers are kept on the phone and sync when the signal comes back.
- The host stays in charge. Every round opens, closes, and publishes because you said so — never on a timer you cannot stop.
